Art & Design Curriculum Statement of Intent
At Boreham Primary School it is our aim to ensure that all children develop their creativity through the teaching of Art and Design & Technology. We believe that Art and Design & Technology should engage, inspire and challenge pupils whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, develop resilience and create their own pieces of work. Through these subjects, children are able to develop their creative skills both as individuals and members of a team. Our intent is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the development of every child’s ability and academic achievement in the areas of Art and Design & Technology.
The impact of this being that all children leaving Boreham Primary School will have the knowledge, skills and resilience to undertake future creative tasks with confidence, to enrich their future learning and lives and develop a cultural awareness of the arts.
